Ebrima Sawaneh is a distinguished Chief Financial Officer, banker, author, and investor with nearly two decades of extensive experience in banking and port operations across Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, he serves as Vice President of Finance at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), and in 2020, AFC seconded Ebrima to Arise Ports & Logistics, where he holds the dual role of Group COO & CFO. 

Ebrima has previously held prominent positions at Ecobank Gambia and GTBank Gambia, further enriching his deep expertise in the financial sector. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds an MBA in Finance. Ebrima has further strengthened his leadership and strategic acumen through executive education programs at institutions such as IBM, Wharton School, Harvard Business School, and Oxford University. He is also a Certified Islamic Finance Executive.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Ebrima is a renowned speaker and lecturer on topics including leadership, finance, strategy, technology, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and corporate governance. His speaking engagements span across Nigeria, Dubai, Gambia, and Sierra Leone.
